What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Recruiter position at Thunder Valley Casino?
The Recruiter is responsible for interviewing and pre-screening candidates for open positions. The Recruiter will forward all qualified internal and external candidates to the appropriate representatives of each department. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resorts ELITE company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Professionally greet all internal and external Guests that come into the Employment Center, as well as interview and pre-screen candidates for open positions.
3. Display understanding of the entire employment process and all relevant employment laws relevant to recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.
4. Possess keen awareness and ability to stay current on recruitment tools, practices, and trends; be strongly focused on recruiting from the local community as well as nationally.
5. Forward all qualified internal and external candidates to appropriate representatives of each department.
6. Build relationships with company management and leadership, communicating daily with them regarding open positions and status of internal and external applications.
7. Attend various departmental meetings and communicate employment related information at these meetings as needed.
8. Job shadow in operational departments to get an understanding of what each position entails.
9. Use appropriate computer system(s) for the employment process and update all information as necessary.
10. Track all internal and external applications.
11. Report a weekly status of applications sent, as well as goals and objectives for the week.
12. Conduct and assist with job fairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred.
2. Previous experience as an employment recruiter or related position.
3. Bilingual ability desirable, but not required.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
5. Ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work.
6. Strong interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to make progress on multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
8. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer skills including ability to utilize internet for recruitment of applicants.
9. Ability to communicate effectively with candidates and department managers throughout the selection process. Ability to provide timely updates to candidates as they move through the interview process.
10. Ability to develop, analyze and interpret staffing and recruitment related reports.
11. Ability to express ideas and make recommendations concerning job-related issues.
12. At least 21 years of age.
13. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Ability to communicate on the telephone and in person with internal and external Guests.
3. Must be able to sit for the duration of shift.
4. Ability to view a computer monitor for duration of shift.
5. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
