Description
Lead Counter Attendant performs responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. He/she ensures service standards are met and surpassed at all times during their shift; ensures customers and fellow Team Members with a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere; and assists manager with daily operating procedures such as maintaining quality store operations, maximizing financial contribution and supervising Team Member development.
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino’s “Winning Attitude” Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casino’s 4-Diamond Service Standards at all times.
- Welcome and connect with every customer to provide excellent customer service.
- Demonstrate “just say yes” behavior when taking care of customers’ needs.
- Coach new hires through their learning.
- Assist customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and retail items.
- Follow and direct others to follow store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station.
- Ensure all company policies, store operating standards and procedures are communicated effectively and maintained and followed in a consistent manner.
- Organize work throughout store in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service and profitable operation.
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Performs and direct others to complete cleaning and operational tasks in accordance with the Duty Rosters.
- Present oneself professionally and demonstrates clear communication by using Star Skills with all customer and Team Member interactions.
- Follow and direct others to follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
- Ensure all cash handling and cash register functions are performed in an accurate and consistent manner.
- Place orders and perform special projects to assist with shift operations.
- Ensure proper types and amounts of materials, supplies and merchandise are ordered and stocked.
- Effectively communicates new product information to the Team Members.
- Assist in store scheduling and adjust staffing to meet store business needs.
- Contribute to store goals for increasing sales and improving profit.
- Assist manager with accounting responsibilities.
- Maintains some accountability for store operations, Team Member development and financial contribution.
- Acts as role model while providing guidance and training to the store employees on all the performance expectations listed in “initial store training.”
- Ensure the employees to the meal and break policies.
- Communicate store and associate concerns to the store manager in an effective manner.
- Successfully complete and implement “advanced store training.”
- Is certified as an in-store learning coach to facilitate ongoing training of Team Members.
- Train and develop the employees to demonstrate all customer service standards, operating standards and Star Skills.
- Responsible for ensuring the training integrity of baristas by coaching “initial store training.”
Qualifications
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must be certified in a California State approved alcohol awareness course.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain / renew all required licenses or certification specifically Tribal Gaming License.
