What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Utility Technician - FT position at Thunder Valley Casino?
The Lead Utility Technician will lead the Slots technical project team on daily objectives and projects including installs and signage moves, delegating tasks as needed. Train new and current Utility Technicians on their job responsibilities and duties in accordance with standards set forth by management. Maintain technical knowledge of all new slot product, platforms, technologies and procedures. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance
with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resorts ELITE company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Oversee slot machine moves and installations, conversions, upgrades, and removals. Install and remove signage. Ensure proper procedures are being followed at all times in respect to machine optioning and testing.
3. Perform preparation work for slot machine moves including, but not limited to, stringing power cords on machine banks with multiple machines and bolting machines to slot stands.
4. Ensure proper safety procedures are being followed at all times.
5. Work with Tribal Gaming Agency to option and configure machines involved in projects.
6. Ensure that all machine move checklist paperwork is complete for each project, including, but not limited to, verifying that paperwork has been initialed in the proper on the machine checklist.
7. Perform routine slot maintenance as assigned by taking care of immediate action work orders as dictated by Slots Team Members and Guests.
8. Perform routine machine maintenance including, but not limited to, cleaning inside and outside of machine with vacuum and cleaning solvents and accessing CPU to clean CPU fans and boards.
9. Be involved in all aspects of preventive maintenance on slot machines and related slot equipment.
10. Coordinate training for Utility Technicians as needed for new product and platforms.
11. Maintain up to date technical knowledge on technologies and products applicable to the future needs of the department.
12. Continually work to expand and improve the comprehensive technical training program to meet the overall needs of the department.
13. Promote positive guest experiences through courteous service and respectful communication.
14. Evaluate the activities of all subordinate team members and coach when necessary on proper procedure.
15. Responsible for maintaining the Hazard Communication Standard for your area.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. One (1) year of Utility Technician or equivalent job experience.
2. High school education or equivalent.
3. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, training material, and other related documents.
4. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form.
6. Ability to multi-task while still maintaining a positive attitude.
7. Possess basic math skills.
8. Must be at least 21 years of age.
9. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
3. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
4. Ability to move up to 285 lbs. using a hand truck with or without assistance.
5. Ability to hear radio transmissions and communicate clearly on radio. Must be able to wear an earpiece with radio.
