What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Attendant - FT position at Thunder Valley Casino?
The Spa Attendant is responsible for orienting Guests to Spa at Thunder Valleys facilities, greeting guests as they enter, and providing personalized Guest service. The Spa Attendant is also responsible for keeping the lounge, locker room and other Guest areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resorts Winning Attitude company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Issue Spa lockers, robes and slippers to Guests, and escort them to the lockers.
3. Provide an orientation tour, explaining Spa amenities offered and answering Guests questions.
4. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the locker and facility area.
5. Stock locker room supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets.
6. Ensure adequate stock of supplies and equipment, and inform management when stock is low.
7. Review Guest appointments and schedules as needed.
8. Actively promote the Spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and discounts as available.
9. Develop professional relationship with regular Guests in order to provide personalized service tailored to individual Guests preferences.
10. Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal Guests, and develop professional relationships with regular clientele.
11. Maintain complete confidentiality in all Guest matters in accordance with company policy.
12. Respond to Guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
13. Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by Guests, ensuring complete satisfaction.
14. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
15. Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the Spa.
16. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
17. Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the Spa that require attention.
18. Responsible for maintaining the Hazard Communication Standard for your area.
19. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. One (1) year of customer service experience in a spa or resort environment is preferred.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
3. Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
4. Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
5. Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
6. Excellent communication and listening skills.
7. Must be a team player.
8. Must be at least 18 years of age.
9. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Must be able to lift and move 10 lbs.
3. Must be able to stand for the duration of shift.
4. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
