Description
The Venue EMT will respond to all medical emergencies and provide emergency care for Guests or Team Members while waiting for emergency medical services and resources to arrive. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Respond to all emergencies, providing emergency care utilizing EMT skills and training including, but not limited to, CPR, AED, and triage care; communicate patient’s care to responding advanced medical personnel, monitor vital signs, and apply dressings and compression.
3. May be required to assist with screening Guests during entry via hand wand or electronic detection system to ensure that Guests do not bring contraband into The Venue.
4. Patrol and observe all public areas within The Venue for the safety of Guests and Team Members.
5. Observe and report all suspicious activity, people, unusual situations, and emergencies to an immediate Supervisor.
6. Thoroughly investigate and document all medical incidents as required.
7. Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
8. Display friendly, courteous, and polite behavior to internal and external Guests at all times.
9. Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere.
10. Give full attention to Guest opportunities and takes ownership of these opportunities to ensure Guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School education or equivalent preferred.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
3. Must maintain active California EMT Certification at all times during employment and keep documentation on file with the department.
4. Must possess a current CPR certification.
5. Must be at least 18 years of age.
6. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Must have the ability to, run, climb stairs, sit, stand, or walk for duration of shift.
3. Must have the ability to lift and drag an unconscious person during an evacuation.
4. Must have acute senses of smell and sound.
5. Must be able to communicate using a two-way radio and telephone.
6. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
7. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
8. Must be able to access all areas of the Venue, which may include prolonged standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, climbing, grasping, and reaching.
