Position Summary
The Drop Team Member is responsible for pulling the gaming machines and tables games in a timely manner. The pulls must start and be completed by the designated time to ensure compliance with casino regulations. The Drop Team is responsible for counting all money pulled from the machines, the count must be accurate, verified and turned over to the Vault. The Drop Team Member will work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Ensure Thunderbird quality guest service and cheerful atmosphere maintained in your department.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times
- Make good and proper decisions that reflect positively on you and the Casino
- Responsible for the compilation of all necessary information and preparation of reports needed to comply with Tribal, Federal, and State regulations
- Maintain proper compliance at all times
- Pull machines and table games in a timely manner
- Count all money and record accurately and neatly
- Learn departmental and company policies and procedures
- Make sure new machines have correct numbers on cash boxes
- Clean and label cash cans
- Clean count machines and count room
- Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and general public
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience with modern office equipment and its usage.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; skill in working in an environment subject to constant interruptions and quickly changing priorities; ability to prioritize responsibilities when necessary; effective time-management skills.
- Knowledge of the operation of a variety of computer software, including 10 key.
- Knowledge of National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, Board members, and the public, both in person and through phone, e-mail and written correspondence.
- Ability to learn quickly, self-leader with initiative, highly flexible and comfortable in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability and accuracy to handle large sums of money.
- Skill in communication with employees in any situation.
- Good math skills and ability to use those skills quickly.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure.
- Ability to train, instruct and supervise a variety of employees at all levels.
- Ability to work in small enclosed and dusty places.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Physical Demands
- Required to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move quickly throughout the workday.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Exposure to smoke and second hand smoke.
- Noise level can be minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined).
- Casino experience preferred.
- Cash handling position preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a key gaming license.
