FOOD SERVER JOB -SUMMARY
Servers must provide friendly, accurate, and prompt service to our restaurant guests. Servers welcome our guests, take food and beverage orders, collect payment, deliver beverages, side dishes, appetizers, main meal, and desserts promptly. Servers keep the restaurant areas clean, neat, organized, and stocked with items necessary.
EXPIERENCE AND/OR KNOWLEDGE TO PERFORM THE FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Point of Sale and Cash Handling Experience (minimum 1 year experience)
Prior customer service experience as a food server within a restaurant dining is required (minimum 1 year).
Basic Math Skills
Ability to manage tasks in a timely and efficient manner to give excellent guest service.
Understanding of and compliance with proper food handling and sanitation rules and regulations applying these to your work duties, including personal hygiene and hair requirements
Understanding of Washington liquor laws regarding serving alcohol and refusing service or sale.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good short-term memory and attention to detail
Ability to get along with others and work with a team.
Conflict resolution skills
PHYSICALL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Must be able to stay on feet, walking and carrying items throughout your shift
Must be able to bend, stoop and use a step stool or ladder safely
LICENSING OR OTHER CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
A current WA State Food Worker Card is required
A current WA State MAST class 12 permit is required
Must be 18 years of age or older due to alcohol serving duties
Must be available during the week, on weekends, and on holidays
Pay range for this position: Minimum starting wage is $16.668/hour - plus the opportunity to earn tip income.
