What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Outfitter position at Thunderbolt Marine, Inc?
THUNDERBOLT MARINE INC. is accepting applications for a full-time Marine Outfitter. Must be able to align, level and anchor machinery. Attach loads to rigging to provide support to prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools. Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and booms using bolts and clamps. Fabricate, set up and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists and pulling gear using hand and power tools. Certifications and leadership experience a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment for the safe and efficient movement of ships and materials.
- Work with cranes, winches, and other heavy equipment to lift and move items.
- Secure cargo, materials, and machinery on ships and at docks.
- Inspect and repair rigging gear, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks safely and efficiently in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
