Role Summary
Seeking a senior data architect to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of unified data architecture across the parent enterprise and its acquired entities. This role requires hands-on engineering skills, architectural thinking, and collaboration with business and technology teams to drive integration, governance, migration, and data strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current data architectures and dependencies.
- Design and implement a target-state enterprise data architecture.
- Standardize data domains, models, and structures.
- Lead data integration and migration efforts.
- Develop strategies for merging various data types.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align data initiatives.
- Implement data governance frameworks and stewardship models.
- Evaluate and implement data technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake).
- Guide MDM, metadata management, and data cataloging efforts.
- Ensure scalability, security, performance, and compliance.
- Build documentation and operational playbooks.
- Serve as a strategic partner for post-merger data integration.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years in data architecture or enterprise data engineering.
- Experience architecting enterprise-level data platforms.
- Expertise in data modeling and design across OLTP and OLAP systems.
- Familiarity with NoSQL systems and hybrid architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Azure data stack and modern cloud-native ecosystems.
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage tools, and MDM frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns and metadata.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in M&A environments.
- Knowledge of data mesh, lakehouse architectures, and semantic layers.
- Certifications in Azure, Snowflake, or enterprise architecture tools.
- Exposure to EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
Salary : $75 - $80
