What are the responsibilities and job description for the ML Engineer, Deep Learning Optimisation position at Thurn Partners?
A MIT CompSci Doctorate and Head of ML Research at a revered algorithmic trading firm is seeking a dedicated ML Engineer.
He runs high-frequency ML research and leads a team of 6. He specifically seeks an ML Engineer with GPU or low level ML infra expertise who can optimize deep learning workflows. Problems are related to ML model capacity and speed for pattern detection and identifying 'alpha' (stock market opportunities). They have consistently made extraordinary profits - comp is never an obstacle and they can cover vesting stock or bonuses. Culturally, they are a very pleasant environment.
The existing team are mathematically, computationally and statistically highly adept, and most have Ivy League DNA. That said, they lack someone with low level ML knowledge.
