In this pivotal role, you will be collaborating with the senior traders as well as quantitative researchers, utilizing their premier research platform to enhance both discretionary and systematic strategies and structure and evaluate new trading opportunities. Your role:
- Research and implement analytical tools to understand the commodity markets.
- Analyze large data sets using advanced statistical methods to forecast fundamental drivers of commodities and prices.
- Develop a strong understanding of commodity fundamentals, and come up with trading strategy ideas.
- Document all fundamental models, challenge them, as well as trading recommendations.
- Implement trading strategies, within the allocated risk mandate.
Experience/skills required:
- Quantitative background - includes degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science and Physics.
- Programming proficiency with at least one major programming or scripting language (Pythonn,C ).
- Hands-on experience in the North American commodities market.
- High GPA/ 1st Class Hons degree.
- Proven track record of meeting challenging objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
