Pipefitter Apprentice

Overview
Thurston Mechanical is a small, family owned Industrial Plumbing company. We are looking for a pipefitting apprentice to join our team. If you have experience with industrial construction and basic construction skills and experience, specifically with piping and are a quick learner please apply.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain piping systems according to specifications and codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout requirements.
• Perform tube bending and pipe threading as needed for various projects.
• Commission newly installed lines and make adjustments
• Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project completion.
• Operate power tools safely and effectively in the installation process.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites.

Requirements

• Experience within the industrial construction industry.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety regulations.
• Reliable worker who is eager to learn
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work as well as to job sites
• Must have a clean NYS drivers
• Must have OSHA 10 hour

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Industrial construction: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• NYS Drivers License (Required)
