Director of Assisted Living

Thurston Woods Village is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to manage our assisted living, The Villa. Thurston Woods Village is a faith based, Mission driven organization that subscribes to a philosophy of person-centered approach. We are unique in our area because we alone offer every level of senior living on a single campus. Thurston Woods Village is recognized for our premier quality. The responsibilities of the Assisted Living Director are:

· Ensure staff are properly trained to provide the highest level of care and consistently strive to achieve our Mission and standards for customer service.

• Responsible for recruitment, interviewing, selection, orientation, training, delegation, supervision, evaluation of staff working in the assisted living.
• Coordinate admission, resident room assignments, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensure compliance with budget, including monitoring of staffing, expense accounts and occupancy.
• Maintain resident care services constantly throughout the year at preparedness levels for State licensing inspections.
• Assure, through regular inspections that the assisted services area is:

maintained in a clean, neat, orderly, safe manner and presents that it is an environment of the highest quality.

• Maintain strong and positive relationships with residents; families and friends; community healthcare professionals and agencies; and regulatory agencies.
• Meet record keeping requirements in compliance with Home for the Aged regulations.
• Be Assisted Living liaison to residents’ doctors, guardians, responsible parties, sponsors, etc.
• Maintaining occupancy is key; conduct tours, maintain a waitlist and coordinate admissions and move outs.
• Assist residents with transitions to different levels of care offered on our campus. Understanding the importance of working with others for the benefit of our residents.

Education Requirements:

· LPN or RN, Degree in Social Work, or related field. Experience in managing an assisted living community may be considered in lieu of education.

· Focus on a person-centered philosophy that promotes and enhances resident choices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
