Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Rehabilitation Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality rehabilitation services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Rehabilitation Technician will work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment plans are implemented.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing rehabilitation programs for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment is available and functional.
- Conduct patient intake assessments, including gathering medical history and current health status.
- Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting improvements or concerns.
- Educate patients on exercises and techniques to enhance recovery, focusing on proper physiology and anatomy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
- Support patients with mobility assistance as needed, ensuring safety during rehabilitation activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of hospital medicine, outpatient, inpatient, orthopedics, and acute care settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of human physiology and anatomy to effectively assist in rehabilitation processes.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
