We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Hardware Engineering to lead our power electronics development team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong technical background in power electronics design and a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering high-quality products. As the Director of Power Electronics, you will be responsible for leading the development of MPPT Charge Controllers, Inverters, Batteries, and EV Chargers, from concept to production.
Job Description
- Lead and manage the power electronics development team, including engineers and technicians, to drive the successful development and commercialization of MPPT Charge Controllers, Inverters, Batteries, and EV Chargers.
- Define the strategic direction and roadmap for power electronics products, in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in power electronics design, leveraging the latest technologies and industry trends to develop best-in-class products.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, software development, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Lead the design and development of power electronics circuits, including power converters, inverters, and battery management systems, using simulation tools and prototyping techniques.
- Oversee testing and validation activities to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and customers to support product development and deployment initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the power electronics team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience in power electronics design and development, with a focus on MPPT Charge Controllers, Inverters, Batteries, and EV Chargers.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing cross-functional engineering teams in the development of complex power electronics products.
- Deep technical expertise in power electronics design, including power converters, inverters, battery management systems, and control algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of simulation tools (e.g., PLECS, PSIM, SPICE) and prototyping techniques for power electronics design.
- Experience with product development lifecycle processes, including requirements definition, design verification, testing, and validation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver high-quality products on schedule and within budget.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
