What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd shift PRODUCTION OPERATOR position at TI Fluid Systems?
Responsibilities of Position:
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Record production and inspection data manually or in electronic storage devices.
- Operate secondary operation equipment or perform secondary operations to molded components.
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
- Train other operators as authorized.
- Manually or semi-automatically install components to tubes.
- Load and unload benders as needed.
- Check quality of assemblies and visually inspect.
- Perform audits as required.
- Run parts according to production schedule.
- Performs any other assigned duties or projects.
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to work any overtime as needed.
- Ability to work any shift as needed.
- Ability to cross train and perform additional duties as needed.
- Good attendance.
- Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Math skills equivalent to a High School diploma or GED.
- Able to read and write in English.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- External Candidates preferably will have at least 2 years of manufacturing operator experience.
- Internal Candidates must have good attendance; at least 6 months of TI perm or temp tenure; and no written or final warnings on their current record.
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
- Not applicable for this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a standing, squatting, bending, reaching positions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
Working Conditions:
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing warehouse and production facility.
- May be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
- Hearing protection required.
- Eye protection required.
- Maneuvers in, around and under factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
