Crib Attendant - 1st Shift TOOL ROOM

Duties and Requirements of the Job:

1. Maintains organization’s tool and equipment supply.
2. Prepares regular inventory, maintains perpetual inventory, and requisitions stock as specified.
3. Unpacks and stores new equipment.
4. Visually inspects tools, using appropriate measurement devises to check for wear and damage.
5. Reports damaged and worn out equipment to supervisor.
6. Stores tools in appropriate protective conditions.
7. Makes minor, routine repairs and calibrations.
8. Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct.
9. Ensures adequate and continuous control procedures are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality.
10. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with internal and external customers which broadly includes suppliers and stakeholders.
11. Maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Training, Knowledge and Experience:

• Some electromechanical skills, physical coordination and math skills of a level typically evidenced by a High School diploma.
• Good computer, language and communication skills.

Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:

1. Nothing that would prohibit overnight or extended travel.
2. Ability to travel (including air travel and long automobile trips).

Working Conditions:

• Occasionally lifts and / or carries up to 70 pounds.
• Maneuvers in, around and under factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
• Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.
• Works within an automotive component manufacturing office and laboratory setting. Exposure to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
