Job Description:
The Industrial Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining industrial equipment with a focus on electrical components. This includes programming and debugging PLC controlled equipment on a wide range of PLC platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and maintain industrial equipment with a focus on electrical components
- Program and debug PLC controlled equipment on various PLC platforms
- Develop program flow charts and state diagrams for automation processes
- Maintain standards related to automation equipment
- Ensure conformity of third-party suppliers to TI Automotive equipment standards
- Assist in equipment startup and launch activities at multiple locations
- Improve efficiencies of existing automated equipment (may require mechanical repair)
- Troubleshoot PLC and automation issues on the manufacturing floor
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing
- Occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds occasionally
