What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE 2nd Shift position at TI Fluid Systems?
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the completion of work orders and planned downtime repairs such as; Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) with other Maintenance Team Members. The repairs will involve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills. Maintenance Technicians will participate in core team task and activities or other duties as assigned. $1.25 Shift Premium applicable.
Responsibilities of Position:
- Responsible for work orders, planned downtime repairs (PM’s).
- Provide your own basic tools.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Train on 1st shift until training is completed and then transfer to appropriate shift (may or may not be applicable).
- May be required to travel to other TI plants and/or customer sites.
- Must be able to work any shift and be available to change within a 1-2 week notice.
- Excellent attendance (3pts or less).
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Efficiently troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems using schematics or tooling prints.
- Troubleshoot using PLC or hardwired machine control circuits.
- Troubleshoot Vision Systems (Keyence and Cognex).
- Ability to do steel fabrication.
- Ability to do resistance welding (Preferred)
- Individual must be highly motivated.
- Work in a team environment and communicate effectively in fast-pace automotive environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Prefer a minimum of 4 years of previous maintenance experience (Preferably in an industrial environment).
- Associate degree in (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering fields preferred).
- Must be willing to continue training/education deemed necessary by the Company.
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lifts up to 35 pounds.
- Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
- Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing, office, and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.
