What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor (1st Shift) position at TI Fluid Systems?
Responsibilities:
- Keep machinery and equipment in good repair
- Coordinates/supports construction projects and equipment rebuilding
- Leads maintenance group efforts
- Performs electrical, air, mechanical and tool room duties to support production
- Maintaining/Updating of the preventative maintenance program
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining spare parts and chemical inventories as needed.
- Performs Annual Reviews of subordinates alone or in support of Engineering Mgt.
- Responsible for input of previous days PM and QRQC Reaction limits into Fast Response Spreadsheets
- Supports End-of-Shift machine updates
- Supports Maintenance Staff scheduling for weekly and weekend
- Work with staff in developing Maintenance personnel improvement programs. Supports training or tutorials through webinars, in-house demonstration, and other means available.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent experience
- Post high school training preferred
- Associates degree preferred in a technical field (e.g. Electronics technology or industrial automation) or equivalency of minimum 10 years of machine maintenance or machine building experience preferred
- Previous management of maintenance group or team brings special emphasis
- Knowledge in Machine spare parts inventory Preferred
- Experience in managing Preventative Maintenance System, scheduling and updating requirements based on machine performance required
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
- MiOSHA Industrial Powered Truck License
- MiOSHA Overhead Crane License
- MiOSHA Powered Lift Operation License
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching and climbing
- Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
- Pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs
- Use of hands and legs
- Speak clearly, oral communication and hearing conservation
- Ability for rapid manual/muscular coordination simultaneously involving wrist/hands/fingers
- Vision: depth perception and distinguish basic colors
- Operation of truck or motor vehicle without restrictions
Working Conditions:
- Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
- Noise: constant above 85dcb with vibration
- Working with machinery with moving parts
- Occasionally work with chemicals, grease, oils, machinery with moving parts, moving vehicles, hands in water, alone and more than 40 hours (41-60 hours)
- Office setting for reporting and other administrative activities
Protective Equipment Required:
- Eye protection required
- Hearing protection Required
- Occasionally hard hat, gloves and safety shoes are required
- Masks or face shields as required
- Must be able to supply own basic tools for job function
