- Ensure all operators are properly trained and signed off in the training matrix.
- Verify that work area is properly staffed.
- Check at the start of each shift to ensure the correct build materials are being used.
- Maintain good housekeeping and TS16949 standards at all times.
- Constantly monitor the work area for potential safety hazards.
- Identify and report bottlenecks in the assembly area to the Supervisor.
- Record production and inspection data manually or electronically.
- Operate secondary operation equipment or perform secondary operations on molded components.
- Communicate and collaborate with Supervisors and Co-workers.
- Train authorized operators.
- Maintain excellent attendance records.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Above-average electromechanical abilities, language, and math skills typically demonstrated by a High School diploma and vocational training.
- Good computer and communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- No restrictions that would prohibit overnight or extended travel.
- Ability to travel (including air travel and long automobile trips).
Working Environment:
- Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent movement around and under factory and/or laboratory equipment.
- Some work time spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Work takes place in an automotive component manufacturing office and laboratory setting with exposure to heat, cold, and fumes/chemicals.
- May be required to travel to plant and/or customer sites.
