What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Specialist position at TI Fluid Systems?
1. Develop and present safety related training and educational programs.
2. Lead the implementation of safety related programs and procedures.
3. Communicate, administer, and maintain existing safety programs and procedures across all sites within
the region.
4. Develop, implement and continuously improve safety programs.
5. Create and deliver safety related reports and presentations.
6. Mentor the plant EHS professionals.
7. Conduct, monitor and follow up on site safety assessments, surveys, and audits.
8. Work with corporate and plant management to ensure compliance with regulations and adherence to
company expectations.
9. Travel to plants regularly.
Skill Requirements:
1. Strong understanding of federal, state, provincial and local safety regulations and requirements.
2. Willingness to work on any shift and additional hours as required.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Fluent in English.
5. Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and other related software.
Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Experience in industrial safety, safety management system development, training, industrial plant
safety auditing, project management, and hazard identification and control is required.
2. Minimum 5 years of Occupational Health and Safety, or related experience.
3. Knowledge and experience with safety management systems (ISO 45001, or OHSAS 18001).
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
1. Valid driver’s license and passport.
2. Board of Certified Safety Professionals – Associate Safety Professional a plus.
