What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Team Leader - 3rd Shift (With shift premium) position at TI Fluid Systems?
Duties and Requirements of the Job:
Develops detailed resources planning data to ensure correct staffing and machine availability is obtained for assigned departments.
- Ensures utilization goals and inventory goals are realized.
- Makes recommendations about changes to policies or procedures while ensuring an accurate scheduling and planning data base, including revisions control is maintained.
- May oversee planner / scheduler / assemblers in a supervisory roll while operating with latitude of unreviewed action.
- Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation. Also including, but not limited to organization goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the department and ensure adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.
- Performs a daily physical count of current production molded, welded, and finished goods tanks in warehouse.
- Performs a daily cycle count of current production finished goods.
- Check DCX’s SMART system for changes in daily requirements.
- Troubleshoot basic computer issues in the department.
Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Broad background in manufacturing technology and line operating experiences.
- In-depth knowledge of production administration functions including accounting, engineering and human resources.
- Possesses excellent people relations skills and has demonstrated communication skill with concepts and instructions.
Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Associates Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience.
- Training in problem solving techniques.
Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Nothing that would prohibit overnight or extended travel.
- Ability to travel (including air travel and long automobile trips).
Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
- Forklift
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts and carries up to 30 pounds.
- Maneuvers in, around, under and about factory and / or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
- Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.
- Works at telephone answering equipment, design equipment and at a PC.
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing office and laboratory setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
- May be required to travel to plant and/or customer sites worldwide.

Education
Required- High School or better
- Associates or better in General Management or related field
