Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
- Maintain asepsis and adhere to infection control policies
- Handle and care for surgical instruments and equipment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote evidence-based practice
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and recovery
Requirements:
- Current California Surgical Technologist certification (CST)
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- 1-2 years of experience as an OR Technician
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
