The Associate Financial Planner job is a member of the TIAA Central Advice Group (CAG) which writes and supports financial planning for TIAA Wealth Management Advisors, Advisory Consultants, and other client-facing associates. This role creates high quality, accurate, and compliant financial plans. The role also contributes to the quality and accuracy of financial plans built by client-facing associates.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Builds and approves low complex financial plans for Wealth Management clients while maintaining quality, content, and cycle time service level agreements.
Assists advisory team to identify most critical client needs and then builds, reviews, and approves goal-based financial plans modeled to address client concerns or show comparisons between alternatives, when appropriate.
Provides planning points via email to the advisor to address client concerns and planning considerations.
Responds to questions for Advisors pertaining to specific plans, general planning questions, or status updates on in process work, during scheduled shifts on the Advice and Planning help desk, with accuracy, objectivity, and professionalism.
Assists and supports Wealth Management Advisory teams in their use of desktop planning tools. Contributes to department and company quality standards by reviewing plans built by Wealth Management Advisors and other client-facing associates.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
