What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Technology and Operations position at TIAA?
The Global Supplier Services (GSS) Technology & Operations Manager performs day-to-day activities to drive and enhance the organization's vendor program framework, reporting/analytics, and automation. Working under limited supervision, this job maintains all technology solutions and related components in support of the vendor risk governance program. Specifically, this job develops and maintains technology/operations supporting GSS objectives including systems administration, Enterprise integrations, risk management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain vendor risk technology solutions and process flows.
- Partner closely with business units and other team members to support various processes (Enterprise Vendor Program Office day-to-day operations, vendor risk program framework, systems assistance, systems training, etc.).
- Timely processing of high-volume technical requests in support of vendor management risk lifecycle.
- Create, update, and maintain various system generated reports and analytics for internal team and external business unit requests.
- Develop and maintain data feed integrations to various Enterprise systems.
- Support audit requests as it relates to vendor risk technology and data.
- Coordinate with Control Partners and IT to execute on business objectives.
- Systems administration of the Vendor Management System (VMS) including internal and external user account management, account permissions access/reconciliation, and data extraction/analysis to support business processes.
- Act as the subject matter expert for the Vendor Management System (VMS).
- Troubleshoot and resolve VMS issues.
- Ensure data quality within the VMS.
- Research and identify opportunities for operational improvement and innovation through technology.

Required Experience:
- 3 years Vendor Management System or related systems administration experience
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years Vendor Management System or related systems administration experience (Coupa Risk Assess experience preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking, organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Robust spreadsheet and analytical skills including vlookup, pivot tables, chart/graph creation, calculations/formulas, conditionality logic, and other advanced functionality
- Strong technological proficiency including expertise in Microsoft products (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of database structures and integrations
- Familiarity with Tableau and/or PowerBI

Base Pay Range: $72,000/yr. - $105,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
