TIAA has an opportunity for a Sr. Lead Network Security Engineer. This role will be a part of our Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) team, responsible for all architecture, engineering, and infrastructure operations for our core technology assets. The GIS team collaborates closely with our business-aligned partners in technology and with key stakeholders across the enterprise.
This role will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT network systems software and hardware for a multi-user network. Furthermore, this role will drive solution delivery needs by confirming that the platform design stability, performance, availability, and security of network components are within established configuration guidelines. This position will be a Subject Matter Expert in the Network Technology and Security Infrastructure field.
The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, knowledge of best network security practices, and effective problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. As the Senior Lead Network Security Engineer, you will own the technical delivery of network security technologies across the enterprise and be accountable for achieving agreed-upon goals and service levels. You will oversee and provide 2nd level on-call support for complex production impacting technical issues and work to troubleshoot and restore services that drive meaningful root cause analysis and actions to prevent future incidents. This role works under limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Mentor a team of Engineers performing network security technologies engineering functions including configuration development, compliance tracking, and solution deployment.
- Lead financial, project, and engineering governance meetings.
- Manage contractual and financial disputes with vendors.
- Oversee, approve, and be accountable for all network delivery engineering in the network security technology environment.
- Identify, evaluate, and design future network security products based on business demands and technology direction.
- Introduce and apply best practices for network design and enterprise business solutions.
- Lead problem management and resolution in support of deployed technology and function as a subject matter expert on high severity production outages.
- Accountable for network standards, baselines, and solutions engineering.
- Evaluate and approve technical standards for network infrastructure, security baselines, policies, and procedures.
- Identify, design, and implement flexible, responsive, and secure technology services.
- Perform research and evaluate infrastructure strategies, hardware / software, security, and networking products.
- Advise / consult with management on options, risk vs. cost, benefits, and other impacts of infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure infrastructure support organization’s policies and guidelines are in place and up to date.
- Monitor trends and recommend future architecture strategies and roadmaps.
- Engage in complex production impacting technical issues and work to troubleshoot and restore service.
- Engage with partner teams to develop optimal business solutions based on standard designs.

Base Pay Range : $123,500 / yr. - $205,000 / yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
