Sr. Manager Portfolio Operations & Reporting
The Senior Manager, Portfolio Operations & Reporting role is responsible for building and maintaining the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) and will oversee the portfolio accounting, performance calculation, and investment reporting functions for the firm's investment advisory services. This individual will also manage vendor relationships for custom report development, portfolio operations support, and the portfolio management software solution. The Senior Manager will work closely with members of the Investments, Trading, IT, and Data Governance teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).

The Senior Manager will work closely with members of the Investments, Trading, IT, and Data Governance teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Owns the firm’s portfolio management software solution Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) including all related policies, standards, controls, compliance and audit requirements, business processes, data maintenance and governance, system integrations, and external departmental requests.
- Manages the maintenance and supporting processes for all system data including portfolios, groups, securities, pricing, reconciliations, non-custodied holdings, performance, composites, benchmarks, and indices. Responsible for performance reporting including all related deliverables including standard and ad-hoc reports, internal and external vendor data-feeds and integrations, and annual GIPS Composite Reports.
- Designs and implements the strategies, processes, and tools for executing portfolio operations and supporting the report creation process.
- Leads initiatives to solve complex cross-departmental business issues. Collaborates with all areas within the firm to ensure the close integration of the portfolio accounting function with the other functional areas, e.g., investments, relationship management, trading, reporting, and IT. Train internal staff and direct reports regarding portfolio accounting, performance calculation, and investment reporting.
- Manages the migration of the portfolio management software to the cloud environment and onboarding of Back Office supplementary resources. Documents and establishes business processes and controls for ongoing integration with the business.
- Manages vendor relationships pertaining to cloud hosting support, application upgrades, custom report development, and ongoing portfolio operations and reporting support. Monitors and manages performance of vendors through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal review process to ensure delivery of business requirements.
