What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) position at TIAG®?
TIAG is currently hiring an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our team on a Cybersecurity program at FEMA based out of Washington, DC. This position requires a Secret level security clearance to be processed to start work, so US Citizenship is a requirement. This position is remote, but eligible candidates should reside in the greater DC Metro region in order to have access to the customer site as needed.

ISSO Responsibilities
- Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s information security program
- Provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design, and implementation of security related to IT systems
- Oversee the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to security requirements
- Gather and organize technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena
- Perform Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities to achieve Authority To Operate (ATO).
- Implement and enforce information system security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and methods related to cyber security.
- Develop and maintain Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation in accordance with DHS and FEMA guidance.
- Develop and maintain system security plans, configuration management plans, incident response plans, and other Information Assurance (IA) documents.
- Conduct technical vulnerability assessments and track remediation activities in the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- 5 years of IT Cyber Security related experience, including a minimum of two (2) years of FISMA experience
- B.S. degree
- Minimum of five (5) year’s hands-on compliance experience
- Secret clearance
- IAM Level III certification required
- Additional technical certification desired - (CCNA, VCP, MCSE)
