What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer/ CDS SME position at TIAG®?
TIAG is now hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer/ CDS SME with Cross Domain Solution expertise to join our team supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) out of sites in Charleston, SC and Quantico, VA and will require an onsite presence periodically and up to 15% travel.
An active Top Secret clearance is required to start work. This position reports onsite at our client location and has potential for telework 1-2 days per week. Core business hours are 0900 to 1500.

Position Responsibilities
- Configure CDS and coordinate access with network and engineering teams (CDS training may be provided).
- Support architecting and implement security solutions for various systems such as SIEM
- Responsible for issue resolution at the guidance of the Government Team Lead as it relates to addressing cross-domain issues and executing actions.
- Review U.S. federal policy and procedures, to include National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and DoD, for use of cross domain solutions and provide analysis of compliance with policy and procedure requirements for products in the USMC information technology architecture and systems.
- Provide expertise and recommendations to improve the process for actions related to cross-domain solutions per published policies and procedures and track the status of those actions.
- Attend meetings to represent customer position on solutions. Write executive summaries and information papers, as required.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- An Information Assurance certification in compliance with DoD 8570 (e.g., Security , RHEL) (IAT Level II)
- CISSP preferred but not required
- 7 years of experience of engineering security architecture and configuring systems, resolving technical issues, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Working knowledge of the accreditation process for the Cross Domain Solution
- Experience with accrediting cross domain solutions – access and transfer; including coordinating with NCDSMO and DoD CDS office
- Experience with the Lab-Based Security Assessment (LBSA) administered by the National Cross Domain Strategy Management Office (NCDSMO)
- Familiarity with Raise-The-Bar requirements as implemented by NCDSMO
- Working experience in Linux environment - configuring and securing
- Familiarity with app interface development, using REST API's
- Experience with DoD RMF controls
- Strong knowledge of IT, including hardware software and networks
- A meticulous eye for detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
