TIAG is in search of a Technical Writer to join our team supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) in Charleston, SC. On this program, TIAG supports United States Marine Corp (USMC) by providing electronic security and technology support services including cybersecurity support. This role is hybrid, reporting onsite up to 3x per week.

- Collaborate with government and industry security professionals and engineers to author and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, briefings, white papers, and training materials.
- Proactively assists in document tracking and logging, and consults with technical staff to determine format, contents, and the organization of technical deliverables and processes.
- Assists in collecting, organizing, and documenting information required for user manuals, training materials, installation guides, briefings, and reports.
- Authors and maintains system engineering documentation through interviews and collaboration sessions with technical team members across multiple efforts.
- Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
- Support data calls, response consolidation, spreadsheet maintenance, briefing development, meeting facilitation and recording meeting minutes.
- Review and provide feedback on existing documents in addition to guiding team members with creating new documents as necessary
- Keep track of all document statuses at all times for documents requiring approval
- Use a repeatable and comprehensive review process that allows each team to self-inspect and incorporate any changes through a fully vetted and formal process that will ensure efficiencies are met while still adhering to inspection guidelines
- Conduct quality assurance on the documents before finalizing deliverables
- 3 years experience in Technical Writing or Communications in an Information Technology or Systems Engineering environment
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University in Communications, Science and Technology, communications, or related fields
- Experience working with cyber security and engineering professionals to translate documentation with minimal time available from the technical team
- Ability to read and understand policies and procedures
- Experience in compliance with regulations and inspections
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with reviewing and coordinating documentation updates between teams
- A high degree of self-motivation and detail-orientation
- Strong work ethic and a proven professional
- Prior DoD experience is highly preferred
