Description
Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a growing Lumber and Building materials company, is seeking a qualified Senior Installation Field Technician. Coordinates installation function while overseeing door hardware kit buildout. Works to achieve installation goals by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visits job sites before installation of windows, doors, millwork and siding to ensure rough openings are sized properly, level, and plumb. Additionally, jobs must be in a state of completion commensurate with installation of specific products. Documentation of the specific site conditions including items that need correction, construction status, and general site conditions shall be documented in writing and photographed along with a picture of the DocBox on the job.
- Visits job sites after installation of windows, doors, millwork and siding to ensure installation of products are commensurate with established quality standards. - Operates a company vehicle, van or pickup truck, within applicable motor vehicle laws and performs daily vehicle inspections.
- Performs service on installed products including door and hardware adjustments, window adjustments, trim touchups, installation of window and glass sliding door screens and other incidental repairs.
- Operates in a safe manner including the use of a safety vest at all times, safety glasses when using cutting, pneumatic or hand tools, and other PPE as prescribed by specific builder or community rules. Ensures safety procedures are followed, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Reports excess materials for return on install jobs at the time the installation is complete.
- Develops a rapport with site supers and works to become their partner and solve their problems.
- Places extreme prejudice on being the face of the company.
Requirements:
- Technical proficiency with My Job Ready relative to scheduling, documentation, and archive retrieval.
- Achieve a minimum 90% on-time, on-schedule, complete installation rate.
- Less than a 2% call-back/correction ratio on installation after post walk corrections are made.
- Warranty work completed to customer satisfaction within one week of notification subject to material availability.
- One-year related work experience in installation of various building products, preferably doors, windows, trim, etc. and/or equivalent education.
- Situational supervisory experience preferred.
