TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic Craftsman to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of construction equipment, with experience in planning, laying out, installing, testing, and repairing various types of machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend plans and specifications, including operator manuals for equipment repair
- Use hand and power tools to repair, replace, or perform maintenance on equipment
- Receive assigned equipment, document its condition, and schedule regular service and inspections
- Organize reference materials, equipment files, and backlog schedules
- Evaluate timetables to ensure certifications for cranes and commercial vehicles
- Assist operators with the Daily Walkaround Report and generate an accurate Equipment Locator
- Maintain efficient, clean, and safe fueling and oiling of equipment
- Ensure job-ready equipment leaves the site for the next assignment
We are looking for a motivated individual with a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience in the field or a related area. You must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for the position, as well as excellent communication skills.
This role involves meeting all physical requirements, possessing required tools, climbing heights, working in confined spaces (exceeding 200 ft), and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Additionally, you will be expected to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload, while observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
