Sales Associate

We are looking to hire a Part-Time retail sales associate: Roughly 20-30 hours a week. Must have weekend availability. Will have the option to pick up additional hours and earn additional incentives. Ideal candidate will have prior smoke/vape shop or retail sales, or other sales experience. Looking for hard working, people-oriented individuals that have or are willing to obtain the product knowledge needed to enhance customer experience. Job Summary:

The Retail Salesperson will assist customers with purchasing merchandise. Must be comfortable with working in a fast paced environment at times.

Pay Range: $12.50-$14 an hour based on smoke shop experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
• Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customers needs.
• Answers customers questions about merchandise.
• Assists customers with purchase decisions.
• Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations; places special orders.
• Collects payment using the store point of sale system.
• Processes returns and exchanges.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complete assigned inventory and daily tasks.
• Keeps store clean and presentable for customers.

• Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
• Ability to anticipate customers needs.
• Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.

Ability to operate or to quickly learn the stores point-of-sale system.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience strongly preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Smoke Shop experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience.
• Must be able to handle a fast paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
