Under the guidance of an Asset Manager or Assistant Asset Manager, Product Specialists/Prurchasers drive strategic business objectives through inventory acquisition. They manage inventory pricing, acquiring, and selling large volumes of tickets. Product Specialists are responsible for the inventory within their specific portfolio and its pricing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, pricing, and sale of large volumes of ticket inventory.
- Provide direction on inventory portfolios and coordinate buying decisions.
- Purchase new tickets daily through research, websites, leads, and on-sale assignments.
- Pricing and managing ticket inventory based on secondary market prices, maximizing event potential by considering market volume, annual trends, and post-sale repricing and re-staggering. Mentor at least one Asset Specialist.
- Assist with problem orders and purchase process support, ensuring ticket availability for sale.
- Establish and maintain exchange metrics in coordination with the Asset Manager. Manage shipping and expired ticket denials for assigned events.
- Purchase tickets online for various events daily, managing and organizing on-sales for individual portfolios, including tracking event dates and times.
- Create purchase orders for purchased events as needed, daily.
- Supervise daily close-down processes, reconciling sales, purchase orders, inventory, and auditing the previous day's business.
- Ensure all purchased inventory is deliverable, shared, and ready for sale using DNS, TNS, and pricing reports daily.
- Maintain availability for inventory emergencies.
- Manage unshared and expiring inventory daily.
- Price the entire inventory weekly, updating the pricing report, with daily pricing of specific inventory segments.
- Provide weekly feedback to analysts on reports.
- Acquire inventory for the portfolio daily.
- Review pricing reports daily to identify inventory needs and ensure weekly pricing updates.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in Marketing/Sales, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of market analysis experience.
