Job Purpose:
Assistant General Manager needed for growing and expanding company in the Amarillo, Texas market.
Tide Cleaners is now taking applications for someone who can lead a team to accomplish the day-to-day operations of the dry cleaning business. Experience preferred, but not mandatory. Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment, work well with customers, and problem solve. Need to be available to work Monday - Saturday. Sometimes a possible Sunday.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Day to day: open and close store, supervise employees, fill in at cleaning, spotting and/or pressing as necessary, equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Create and maintain customer-centric culture, exceeding expectations through exceptional personal attention to customers and their garments
- Hands-on training and monitoring of best-in-class operational and CSR service teams that consistently meet or exceed Company defined goals
- Assist General Manager in reconciliation of Cash Drawers, and Deposits.
Expectations:
- To meet Plant labor hours
- All garments, unless customer is otherwise notified, must meet the "same day" return policy of "in by 9:00 out by 5:00" policy.
- Plant must be cleaned daily as to ensure a clean work environment.
- Teach and exercise the “Counting Hangers” method of order controls during sell out to ensure accuracy of outgoing inventory.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate with the General Manager on any escalated customer service issues, staffing needs, staffing discipline, training requirements or other information that can be considered important to the overall operations of the plant location.
- Be able to come in as needed and replace the General Manager during vacations or other necessary times.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Bi-lingual is needed, but not a must have.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of experience in the Dry-Cleaning industry and in the retail arena.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience managing and/or training employees.
- Willingness to learn
- Positive Attitude
