What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Based Clinical Supervisor position at Tidemark Intervention Services?
The school-based clinical supervisor is responsible for guiding practitioners in assessing clients, making referrals, developing treatment plans, training, and motivating staff. The clinical supervisor conducts regular meetings with supervisees and ensures policies and procedures are being followed as well as ethical and quality clinical care. The clinical supervisor maintains a clinical caseload as well as supports the evaluation and assessment process of clients at the agency. This position ensure positive communication and collaboration with all schools, supervises licensed therapist as well as School Services Coordinator.
- Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities -
- Reviewing and overseeing the work procedures of practitioners
- Build relationships in hosting schools and abide by school rules; support practitioners in doing the same.
- Leads clinical staff in supervision and maintains supervision contract
- Supports practitioners in complying with licensure and registration requirements
- Monitor and support practitioners
- Assisting practitioners with challenging and complex cases
- Developing programs which comply with policies and procedures
- Maintains direct care of 17-22 units of service per week
- Maintain up to two intern supervisees.
- Works as a collaborative member of the treatment team
- Cross-trains in organizational functions and support other departments as needed
- Supervises the School Services Coordinator
- Provide supervision to graduate and fully licensed school-based professional counselors.
- Complete initial evaluation and re-evaluation of supervisee’s clients.
- Support consumer care through quality assurance efforts.
- Document services no later than 48 hours after service; actual start and duration as well as coding to be updated immediately following the service.
- Support community relations and collaborative efforts with stakeholders to include schools.
- Serve as a representative of the agency’s management team and support maintaining ethics standards as outlined by licensing boards, COMAR and accreditation.
- Attend agency identified ebp trainings and ensure compliance to protocols through clinical supervision.
- Ensure quality treatment of providers & patients through warm interaction and strengths-based approach.
- Responsible to oversee school data and develop reports as requested by the state and school system.
- Will work clinic-based hours during school closures; remote work permitted upon approval of the Clinical Director.

- Clinical Supervisor Education and Experience Requirements -
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
- Prior experience in psychotherapy is preferred.
- Follow standards of Confidentiality.
- Meet all necessary state licensure requirements.
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a similar role
- Clinical Supervisor License Requirements -
- LCMFT, LCSW-C, or LCPC
- Board Approved Supervisor
- Work Schedule, Pay Rate, & Benefits -
- Expectations: Work Hours are primary school hours and determined by the Clinical Supervisor with coordination of the Clinic Director and Director of Operations. Hours are worked in the school setting with the exception of school closures and early release. When schools are closed, this position is expected to work in clinic; remote work permitted with approval. Clinical Supervisor is a salaried full-time position at 35 hours per week. Expected to be reasonably available to the supervisees to include evening shifts as needed.
