TIDES, INC. is a comprehensive, intensive outpatient treatment program dedicated to supporting pregnant and newly postpartum women diagnosed with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in the Cape Fear region. Through an evidence-based, therapeutic approach, TIDES provides in-house services and partners with community organizations to help women achieve lasting recovery while maintaining the mother-child dyad.
To further our mission, TIDES operates a residential program designed for mothers experiencing unsafe housing or homelessness. This program accommodates up to 14 mothers and their infants and is staffed by experienced residential managers 24/7/365 to ensure a safe, supportive environment.
As TIDES continues to grow, we are seeking 1-2 part-time Residential Managers to join our team in downtown Wilmington. The ideal candidates will have experience working with individuals with a substance use history, infant care, nursing, or a clinical background. We are hiring for the following shifts:
- 7 AM – 2 PM
- 2 PM – 9 PM
- 9 PM – 7 AM (overnight)
Flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional and supportive living environment.
- Assist in coordinating residents’ needs as they arise.
- Oversee and facilitate daily activities.
- Provide transportation for residents in the company van when needed.
- Ensure adherence to group living rules and program guidelines.
- Distribute medications at designated times.
- Administer urine drug screenings as required.
- Support and educate mothers on infant care and proper caregiving techniques.
- Regularly check in with and observe new mothers, offering assistance as needed.
- Uphold compliance with program policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in substance use recovery.
- Experience working in a transitional living program preferred.
- Prior experience working with pregnant women and new mothers is a plus.
- Professional experience in infant care required.
- A clean driving record.
Additional Requirements:
- Must reside in or near Wilmington, NC.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
