Mathematics Teacher

Title: Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9 – 12)

Position Type:

Exempt with benefits.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Holds at least a bachelor’s degree at the upper school mathematics level or a related field.

• Have a strong knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts and curricula.

• Demonstrates professional and personal characteristics appropriate for working effectively with students, parents, school personnel, and community members.

• Can manage a classroom and engage students in learning successfully.

• Have a passion for teaching and commitment to student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have prior teaching experience in a secondary school setting.

• Have a teaching certification/licensure in mathematics.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and executes engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of students.

• Provides instruction using various methods to address different learning styles.

• Fosters a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.

• Monitors and assesses student progress and provides immediate, constructive feedback.

• Maintains accurate and timely student attendance, grades, and performance records.

• Collaborates with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials.

• Communicates regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, the instructional program, and other school-related information.

• Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance professional skills and

knowledge.

• Stays up to date with educational best practices and trends.

• Complies with state laws, school policies and procedures, and administrative regulations.

• Contributes to the total school program.

• Performs other duties as assigned by school administration.
