What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist position at Tidewater Orthopaedics?
No nights, weekends, or holidays approximately 27 hours weekly
Tidewater Orthopaedic Associates is looking for a part-time Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech). Our facilities have state of the art Samsung equipment and an extremity MRI machine. The Radiologic Technologist is a member of the Imaging team and is responsible for producing quality diagnostic radiographs with a high degree of proficiency.
Responsibilities :
Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs and / or MRI images (if applicable) upon the request of the physicians
Fill out all required paperwork accurately and neatly
Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly state
Participate in the instruction and evaluation of, and work with radiological technology students
Cross train to do extremity MRI's
Participate in clinic performance improvement activities
Demonstrate flexibility as a team member
Performs other duties as assigned
Will require travel between our Hampton, Williamsburg, and Suffolk locations.
Education and Experience :
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic technology
Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Have current Virginia State license
Current BLS certification required
One (1) year experience in general radiography would be a plus
Physical Demand : Frequently standing, walking and sitting. Ability to pull, lift, carry and push greater than 150lbs repetitive. Frequent stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing and balancing. 95% of work will be performed inside with noise and / or vibrations. No extreme heat, cold, wet or humid work environment. Repetitive physical and verbal interaction with patients.'
