A service manager is responsible for providing leadership and prioritizing and directing activities within the service department.
- Manage the service department for optimum performance, efficiency and profitability, ensuring crews meet and exceed production goals
- Effectively lead service crews to maintain company expectations regarding safety and quality workmanship
- Maintain communication with clients, service crews and the company
- Ensuring service vehicles, equipment, and employees present a clean and professional image
- Meet daily with repair technicians to review previous and next day's activities/goals
- Determine training needs for repair technicians; organize and direct training in safety, quality workmanship and roofing expertise
- Ensure crews adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations
- Conduct on-site training with service crews, to include quality control inspections and customer satisfaction
- Affirm jobs are completed to the scope of work and promised quality level
- Address customer call-back/warranty claims
- Analysis – the ability to conduct roof inspections and detect and repair roof system problems
- Roof system knowledge – Knowledge of various roof systems and materials and methods of repair and maintenance and the ability to teach others
- Safety and security – Ability to identify, correct and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards; use equipment and materials properly and effectivelyQuality – Knowledge to inspect and assure attention to detail
- Productivity – Demonstrate the ability to meet and exceed productivity standards; work quickly and accurately
- Customer service – Develop relationships with customers; manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond to requests for service and assistance
- Supervision – Coach staff members; seek to develop supervisory skills
- 3 years roofing production supervision experience
- Relevant OSHA certifications (we will provide if you are not currently certified)
- Valid Driver's License
