Job Overview :
We are seeking a Contract Engineer (Process / Project Engineer) to help oversee and streamline the relocation of machinery and equipment to our new facility. This role requires someone who can effectively plan, execute, and improve workflows to maximize productivity, reduce waste, and position machinery and equipment for optimal efficiency. You will be working closely with leadership and the operations team to resolve any workflow issues and ensure the seamless integration of the new space.
Responsibilities :
- Assess and understand current manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.
- Lead the planning and execution of machinery and equipment relocation to the new facility.
- Design an efficient layout for the new space, ensuring optimal utilization of available square footage.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Conduct time and motion studies to ensure optimal equipment positioning and utilization.
- Provide recommendations on process improvements, including automation opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any process-related issues as they arise during the relocation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
- Document all changes, recommendations, and improvements for future reference.
