Tidewater Youth Services Commission is looking to hire a Weekend Counselor as a part of community monitoring program.
Duties include:
- Assigned a case load of up to 10 clients to monitor digitally and in-person per weekend.
- Carry agency phone and respond to all alerts from Friday 5:00pm - Monday 9:00am.
- In-person visits Saturday mornings for assigned families of delinquent youth in their home.
- Travel in own vehicle required but mileage is reimbursed.
- Providing assistance; modeling behaviors; reinforcing positive actions.
- Prepares records of client visits, progress, and case notes;
- Responds to emergencies and crisis interventions as needed.
- Establishes working relationships with families, court personnel, referral agencies, and other service providers.
