Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and installation, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role requires precision and attention to detail, ensuring that all projects meet high-quality standards. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, fabricating metal components, and installing them in various settings. WE ARE WILLING TO TRAIN!
Responsibilities
- Installation: Measure, cut, and install sheet metal components such as coping, flashing, gutters, and metal roofing panels according to project specifications.
- Measuring: Accurately measure materials needed for installations to ensure precision and proper fit.
- Material Communication: Responsible for communicating with either Adam or Greg by 12:00PM on the day before a job begins, providing a list of the materials needed for the following day.
- Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Quality Control: Perform inspections of installed sheet metal to ensure alignment, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials safely to job sites as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize tools such as brakes, shears, and other metalworking equipment safely and effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve installation issues, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work alongside roofing crews, foremen, and project managers to maintain smooth workflow and communication.
- Job Site Organization: Keep the job site clean and organized, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained.
- Fabricate sheet metal components using tools such as shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
- Install sheet metal products in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Perform repairs and modifications on existing installations as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
