What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Staff- School position at Tiegerman School/ Community Services?
Tiegerman School is a special needs program servicing children from preschool through grade 12. The Elementary School is looking for Maintenance Staff.
This is a full time position- Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm with flexibility to cover other shifts.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Address any immediate operational and safety concerns
- Respond to emergency situations during and after hours
- Assist with the remodeling of all buildings
- Perform outside custodial duties such as snow removal and property clean-up
- Utilize appropriate paperwork, receives, and distributes all supplies
- Perform a variety of maintenance activities including carpentry, plumbing, and painting
- Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways and windows
- Perform work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule
- Sweep, mop, strip and wax floors
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and blinds
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills
- Perform touch up and finish painting
- Empty wastebaskets
- Replenish restroom supplies
- Replace light bulbs
