Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop prospective business opportunities, including key contacts within target markets.
- Conduct cold calls (20 per day) and manage lead generation efforts.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings with potential clients.
- Build and nurture relationships with new clients to move products efficiently through cradle-to-grave operations.
- Collaborate closely with owner-operators, bidding for services to move customer freight.
- Manage marketing materials and campaigns to engage prospective customers, both digitally and in print.
- Monitor and maintain a presence across relevant social media platforms to increase brand visibility.
- Maintain constant communication with potential and existing clients to ensure excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, or related fields.
- 2-5 years of domestic sales experience
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations with a focus on ocean transportation.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Proven ability to generate leads and develop new business, particularly with owner-operators.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and clear responses.
- Experience managing customer needs within a logistics and transportation framework, specifically in fuel factor and cost management.
