- Perform site visits, data collection, detailed field inspection, topographic surveys, substation surveys, utility pole inspections, building investigations, manhole inspections, document field notes and other data required to develop design drawings.
- Perform records research, submit One Call System (POCS) design tickets for underground maps, National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS) tickets, obtain right-of-way / easement maps, as-builts and other utility information.
- Under Project Manager’s / Professional Engineer’s supervision, develop conceptual plans, subsurface utility base maps, civil & electrical design drawings for proposed overhead and underground infrastructure, plan & profile drawings, utility pole diagrams, cable pull plans, permit drawings, construction drawings, details, specifications, as-builts / record drawings, etc.
- Prepare notes, instructions, permit applications, bid specifications, bill of materials, material requests, clearance requests, construction work order packages and other project related documents.
- Prepare designs ready for Licensed Professional Engineers to endorse (sign and / or seal) prior to client submissions.
- If required, assist other senior level professionals with development of proposals, project coordination, meeting minutes, preparing Task Orders for subcontractors, technical and commercial write-ups, etc.).
