Job Summary: The Warehouse/Inventory Manager or Lead position is responsible for supervising the Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Clerk teams, maintaining the accuracy of TPS inventory to facilitate the production schedule and arranging timely shipments of finished product. As part of this, this person will develop and maintain processes to ensure the accurate and complete kitting and issuing of parts to production.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
· Ensure Inventory accuracy by:
o Developing and maintaining receiving procedures.
o Ensuring that material is issued to production by procedures.
o Conducting regular cycle counting of parts in inventory.
o Conducting physical inventories of stock.
· Facilitate production schedule by:
o Ensuring that parts are kitted properly to be sent to the production floor per BOMs and job tickets.
o Ensuring that parts to be sent for outside processing are properly kitted.
o Promptly arranging packaging and preparing materials for shipment.
o Arranging shipments in concert with customers’ preferred methods.
· Supervise shipping/receiving and inventory clerk teams.
· Follow and enforce the safety standards of TPS and follow local, state, and federal regulations.
· Perform duties in a moral and ethical manner.
· Complete additional tasks assigned by TPS management.
Work Environmental & Physical Demand:
· May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands.
· Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
· Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
· Must have 3 years in a supervisory role and possess strong supervisory skills.
· Advanced knowledge of inventory control process best practice.
· Advanced working knowledge of ERP transactions and effects on inventory.
· Solid knowledge of shipping and logistics roles to aid in product distribution.
· Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.
· Experience with Epicor Kinetic Inventory module or other similar ERP system is a plus.
Required Education:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
