Summary:
The Policy Registrar is responsible for the accurate assembly of policy contracts, ensuring that all required forms, notices, and brochures are included according to state regulations and established procedures. This role involves inspecting, assembling, and mailing newly issued policies, as well as processing unreported changes or corrections. Additionally, you will manage final action correspondence, such as amendments, by either including them in policy mailings or forwarding them to the appropriate parties.
In this role, you will:
- Sort and match output for each policy number.
- Review computer-generated output for accuracy.
- Verify completeness and accuracy by comparing policy specification pages with original applications.
- Ensure necessary copies and documents are included, and that all reporting requirements are met.
- Refer errors to the appropriate team for correction.
- Perform various other duties as needed.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Processing New Issues and Policy Changes (90%):
- Assemble policy contracts, ensuring all necessary forms, notices, and brochures are included per state regulations and client procedures.
- Sort and match output such as specification pages and application documents.
- Review computer output to confirm receipt of specification pages and ensure accuracy by cross-checking key information with original applications.
- Include any required forms or brochures based on internal guidelines.
- Document any mailing delays or express shipments in the system.
- Refer errors to the appropriate team, such as the underwriter or Post Approval Analyst, for correction.
Miscellaneous Duties (10%):
- Follow up on unmatched specification pages, unclaimed correspondence, and amendments.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strict deadlines and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete assignments using good judgment.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
- Ability to handle confidential data in compliance with privacy laws and company standards.
- Physical capability to lift up to 33 lbs as part of job duties.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
