Overview :
We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex technical solutions, with a strong focus on architecture and design. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates in the Central or Eastern Time Zones.
Key Responsibilities :
Architecture :
Lead the development of system and solution architectures, ensuring the use of best practices and standards in solution design.
Design :
Provide technical design leadership, assisting in the detailed design and implementation of components.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and Java-based microservices.
Collaborate on cloud-native architecture strategies, leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for scalable, reliable solutions.
Design and integrate API gateways, ensuring smooth and secure API calls across the platform.
Implement and design Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to ensure system resilience and business continuity.
Ensure solutions meet security standards and PCI DSS compliance, applying appropriate security controls in both architecture and design.
Guide development teams through the implementation of architectural decisions, promoting best practices, performance, and scalability.
Participate in the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and techniques to ensure high-quality solutions.
Required Skills & Experience :
Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a focus on cloud-native applications and microservices.
Strong experience with RESTful APIs and Java-based microservices.
Solid experience in cloud-native technologies, with preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
Extensive experience with API gateways and the management of API calls.
Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution.
Well-versed in security controls, especially PCI DSS compliance.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a distributed team.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud technologies.
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
